Empowering children to break the poverty cycle through holistic care.
Benava – a fusion of Indian and Latin roots meaning “Excellent, Healthy, and Strong” – was founded on 15th June 2013 by Miss Valeria Benazir Inziani. We serve 36 children aged 3 to 16 from rural areas, streets, and homes affected by abuse, neglect, divorce, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, and chronic illness.
Our work spans Kajiado County (Birika) and Kakamega County, partnering with guardians to provide food, clothing, education, and advocacy for child rights. We believe in a happy, healthy, productive life within their native land.
Led by founder Valeria Benazir Inziani (Project Manager), who holds a degree in Human Development and is pursuing a PhD in Theology. Her hospitality and children’s home management experience transformed Benava into a donor-supported, transparent nonprofit. Six committee members, a social worker, and a secretary ensure accountability and strategic growth.
Our Mission
Break poverty cycles, advocate child rights, and build alternative support systems that nurture holistic development.
